View the breathtaking “Castle on the Cumberland” – the Kentucky State Penitentiary along the shores of Lake Barkley. Experience the history of Old Eddyville at the Rose Hill Museum. Walk the shorelines of the Old Eddyville area and see remains of foundations, sidewalks and streets of the town’s former location.

Carson Center for Performing Arts
Built in 1857. Visitors step back in time to the turn-of-the-century to relive the legacy and lifestyle of a prominent western Kentucky family. Decorations change during the year. Open Tues-Sun.
The free riverboat ferry crosses the Ohio River at Cave-In Rock. The cave was a headquarters for river pirates. Scenic views - unusual mode of transportation. Free. Open daily 6 AM -9:30 PM, weather permitting.
The largest and most spectacular display of fluorite crystal in the world. Other minerals, photographs, records, letters and mining equipment on display. Open Saturday or call for appointment.
Branson-style music show with a professional cast of singers, dancers and a live band
This country music & comedy show presents some of the finest talent in Kentucky. It's wholesome entertainment for the entire family. Talent contest from January through May. Open every Saturday. Also, open Friday in June - August & in December.
